On June 27, as the needs of COVID-19 Prevention and Control, requirements of stronger defense line of epidemic prevention and control at the campus: to secure the health and safety of all students and faculties and to ensure all those in need are tested, BJUT organized all students in campus and faculties in Beijing as a total of 3,500 to take centralized nucleic acid tests.

To reduce mass gathering and improve sampling efficiency, BJUT collected and identified the number of persons to be tested before the centralized nucleic acid tests and organized sub-divisions to take the test at different times.

At the BJUT Olympic stadium, faculties and students lined up to take samples following requirements of epidemic prevention and control. The university organized more than 70 volunteers to guide the testees and explain the testing procedures. The field sampling proceeded in 10 test groups while 40 medical staffs from Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital, Capital Medical University were divided into 2 teams in turn, in which every two medical staffs were responsible for one test group patiently and carefully.

Xie Hui, Secretary of the Party Committee, Liu Gonghui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President, Liu Jianping, Vice President, Yang Jianxin, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Guo Fu, Vice President, went to the stadium for instruction, and visited the faculties and students, the medical staffs and volunteers to express thanks for hard work.

Within 24 hours, from receiving the test task to completing the sampling work, the Leading Group for COVID-19 Prevention and Control Work had completed the work efficiently and orderly with the tight organization and strong support from the relevant divisions. On June 29, according to the feedback from Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital, Capital Medical University, the nucleic acid test results of more than 3,500 BJUT faculties and students were all negative.
