Cheng Yongchao, a graduate student of BJUT, was financed by International Cooperative Development Programs for Innovative Talents, in cooperation with Chinese Scholarship Council(CSC). This is a significant joint program established by CSC, with the aim to cultivate more innovative international talents with critical and compound skills. The program largely sponsors high-level universities at home and abroad to exchange and jointly groom interdisciplinary talents with 3 million funds on average. It requires that the funded disciplines are equipped with an excellent basis for cooperation,a well-designed training plan and definite assessment indicators.
In 2019,the “International Cooperative Development Programs for Innovative Talents in Intelligent Manufacturing” applied by College of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Electronics Technology was approved. Supported by the program, the awarded college will send more than 10 doctoral students and young teachers to the University of Kentucky for joint training in the next three years. This new attempt is an upgrading of the long-term cooperation in the field of intelligent welding between the two universities.
Adhering to the strategy of “building a globalized university”, BJUT prioritizes cultivating talents with international vision. The CSC-sponsored graduate exchange program provides a high-level platform for our international education. In the future, BJUT will introduce more international cooperation and exchange opportunities for graduate education.
