2021 BJUT Overseas Faculty Training Program Launched

On October 26, Beijing University of Technology, University of Nottingham and University of Nottingham Ningbo China jointly launched the "Research and Practice of Higher Education and Teaching in World-class Universities" overseas faculty training program.

"We continuously look to improve the academic and administrative services by consistently upgrading these services to conform with international standards. 'Go International' holds the key to the university development while professional training programs like this one are essential to the full life-cycle career development of our faculty and staff," said Guo Fu, Vice President of Beijing University of Technology. He also expected that the attendees could keep the strategic planning of the University and the capital city in mind, and translate the learning outcomes into the drive and motivation to the University goals of the world-class high-level research university with not only its own distinctive features but also significant global influence.

Philip Shipway, Associate Faculty Pro-Vice-Chancellor of University of Nottingham, said that the two universities share a long history of cooperation, which is rich in forms and expanding in scope. University of Nottingham hopes to take this opportunity to share its experience with BJUT and further collaborate in more areas like student education, research, university services and outreach in joint efforts.

A total of 30 BJUT faculty and staff members participated in this year's program. The program aims to provide a platform to spark new ideas, promote mutual learning, and improve the global vision of the attendees.
