BJUT was invited to attend the Global Technology Transfer Fair of Pujiang Innovation Forum 2020 on October 28 in Shanghai. The President Roundtable Forum on Transformation of Technological Achievements in Universities is an integral part of the Fair, which aims to fully tap the potential of transforming scientific and technological findings in universities, and promote the conversion of scientific and technological results amid the "double first-class" initiative. Further, this attempt will foster the development of science and technology in China, sharpen our scientific and technological innovation ability, and fulfill the innovation-driven development strategy of the country. More than 80 representatives from 20 plus well-known universities in China attended the forum.
LIU Gonghui, Deputy Secretary of BJUT CPC Committee and President of the University attended the President Roundtable Forum and delivered a keynote report entitled “Building a Multi-level and All-round Technology Transfer System to Boost Social Innovation and Development”. Heelaboratedon it in terms of national demand and the university’s functions, shared what BJUT had explored and practiced in technology transfer, and highlighted that technology transfer is the booster for scientific and technological innovation.
The Pujiang Innovation Forumwas founded in 2008 and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Over the past 12 years, it has attracted over 1,000 senior politicians, academic magnates and business elites from all over the world to meet in Pujiang for in-depth exchanges and discussions on various hotspot issuesin scientific and technological innovation at home and abroad. It has now evolved into an influential high-level international innovation forum.
