On the shortlist of the 2nd Batch of New Engineering Research and Practice Projects published by the General Office of MoE, 5 projects of BJUT were listed successfully. These successful projects include: the Construction of New Material Engineering Practice Platform and System for Green Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region (CUI Suping); the Research on the Construction and Operation Mechanism of New Material Engineering Talent Training Community in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region (NIE Zuoren); the Research on the Structural Adjustment and Optimization of New Engineering-related Major in Response to the Industrial Transformation and Upgrading in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region -- A Case Study of “Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering” (CHEN Shujun); the Exploration and Practice of Green and Informationized Transformation and Upgrading of Materials-related Major (GUO Fu) and Exploration and Practice of Multi-level Teacher Training System for IT Major in the Context of “New Engineering” (ZHU Qing).

In recent years, BJUT has aligned itself with the needs of the Country and the Capital in economic and social development, proactively promotes the construction of “new engineering” majors. BJUT has also guided and leaded the adjustment and optimization of major structure in different levels and stages, continued to deepen the reform of student training, and implement projects with high quality according to the actual situation.
