BJUT Approved for the International Cooperative Innovative Talents Project 2021 by China Scholarship Council

As China Scholarship Council issued the notice on Fund on International Cooperative Innovative Talents Project 2021, the "International Cooperative Innovative Talents Project of Intelligent Health MD-PhD" based in the Faculty of Environment and Life, BJUT was approved for financial support. This is the grant BJUT has received for the second year in a row after the first success of the "International Cooperative Innovative Talents Project of Intelligent Manufacturing" in 2020 applied for by the Faculty of Materials And Manufacturing.

The project last for three years. The discipline of biomedical engineering under the Faculty of Environment and Life is allowed to send three excellent doctoral candidates and a backbone teacher to the University of Nottingham for joint training, visiting and studying every year. The candidates selected for the project studied abroad with the sponsorship of the China Scholarship Council. The project is based on the strong cooperation between the two universities in the early stage and explores a new model of postgraduate training to jointly educate innovative and multi-skilled international talents in the field of intelligent health.

The China Scholarship Council set up and implemented the International Cooperative Innovative Talents Project to further promote domestic and foreign cooperation in training innovative international talents and increase the support for the development of first-class universities and disciplines. Its focus is to fund the cooperation between Chinese and foreign universities or in disciplines with common advantages.
