· BJUT Organizes Faculty, Staff and Students to be Vaccinated Against COVID-19

In accordance with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on coordinating the promotion of pandemic prevention & control and the economic & social development, and in accordance with the requirements of the Beijing education system on the deployment of COVID-19 vaccination, the Party Committee of BJUT established a special team for vaccination, understood in advance vaccination needs of faculty, staff and students, and formulated a work plan. Starting from March 11, BJUT would organize two groups of faculty, staff and students to be vaccinated against the COVID-19.

In order to reduce the risk of students going out to vaccinate, BJUT coordinated the local communities and the disease control authority to set upacentralized vaccination site in the Olympic venues of BJUT, and arranged the streamline vaccination as required. The Olympic venue was divided into a waiting area, a consultation area, a registration area, an injection area, an observation area and an emergency treatment area to ensure that the whole process of vaccination is one-way.

Xie Hui, Secretary of the CPC Committee of BJUT, Nie Zuoren, President of BJUT, Liu Jianping and Guo Fu,Vice Presidents of BJUT came to the vaccination site to express their regards to the vaccination and medical staff, and communicated cordially with the faculty, staff and students who came to vaccinate.

According to the overall work plan, BJUT will organize vaccination of faculty, staff and studentsin two batches. For the first batch, the first dose is arranged from March 11 to 12, and the second dose is arranged from April 1 to 2; there are 4,689 teachers and students involved; according to the number of vaccine receivers in each unit, BJUT schedules the vaccination period in advance to ensure that the vaccination is carried out in an orderly manner. For the second batch, the vaccination time is to be determined; according to the vaccination needs, it is expected that more than 5,700 students will participate in the second batch of centralized vaccination.
