Specification for Digital Campus Construction in Higher Education Institutions (Trial) was released by the Ministry of Education to the municipal and provincial education departments and higher education institutions across the country on March 12, 2021 with a desire to steadily advance the Education Informatization 2.0, actively develop "Internet+ Education", promote the in-depth integration of information technology and education & teaching and improve the level of informatization construction and application in higher education institutions. BJUT participated in the drafting as one of 9 compiling organizations.
This specification was drafted by research scholars, experts, leaders, project managers and key technical staff in the field of higher education and information technology as well as the companies related to digital campus under the organization by the Education and Information Technology Standardization Committee of the Ministry of Education, based on the demand and oriented to smart applications. The main drafting organizations of this specification include the China E-Learning Technology Standardization Committee of the Ministry of Education, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing University of Teconology, Central China Normal University, East China Normal University, Xidian University and Education Management Information Center of the Ministry of Education.
Consisting of 10 parts, this specification lists the overall requirements and main components of digital campus construction in the higher education institutions, stipulates the general requirements for infrastructure, information resources, information literacy, application services, network safety and security system, and applies to the planning, design, construction and implementation of digital campus and smart campus in the higher education institutions.
