BJUT Held the Kick-off Meeting of International Scientific Research Cooperation and Cultivation Project 2021

On April 8, BJUT held the Kick-off Exchange Meeting of International Scientific Research Cooperation and Cultivation Project 2021. The meeting summed up the achievements of Seed Fund Project in 2018, introduced the applications and related requirements for the International Scientific Research Cooperation and Cultivation Project 2021, BJUT overall scientific research status and the ways to participate in international scientific and technological cooperation projects.

As the three representatives of International Research Cooperation Seed Fund Project 2018, Li Hong, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Materials and Manufacturing; Jia Xibin, Professor from the Faculty of Information Technology and Liu Jian, Associate Professor from the College of Art and Design shared their experiences in deepening the academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation with foreign experts under the support from the Seed Fund project 2018 in terms of the application skills for scientific research cooperation projects, the building of international scientific research team and platform, and the promotion of international cooperation and industrialization, etc.

International Scientific Research Cooperation Seed Fund Project of BJUT was established in 2015 with a desire to support and encourage faculties to carry out multi-level academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation with the partners from international universities and scientific research institutions so as to assist the cultivation of high-quality international scientific research cooperation projects and joint high-level scientific researches, and promote the international development of BJUT. In the past six years, the Project had funded more than 240 international scientific research cooperation sub-projects and achieved a series of outstanding results in terms of two-way international exchanges, joint scientific research projects, co-authored academic papers, and joint training for graduate students.

This year, BJUT adds a new funding category for the International Scientific Research Cooperation Seed Fund, which sets for the international cooperation talents' introduction and cultivation sub-projects. 110 international scientific research cooperation cultivation sub-projects are recommended by the secondary institutions and 78 sub-projects have been approved.
