On March 30, Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education visited BJUT to inspect the prevention and control work of COVID-19. He inspected the work of the registration procedures for entering the campus during the epidemic, online and offline teaching, student employment services, psychological assistance provision, canteen management, and logistic material supplies. He also had in-depth exchanges with student representatives and faculty members, and expressed his sincere greetings to the volunteers serving for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games via video link.

Huai said that it is of great importance to carry out the prevention and control of the epidemic in the education system in a strict, effective and meticulous manner and to promote an integrated approach to the prevention and control of the epidemic to ensure the education system's continuing high-quality development.

He also stressed that we must prioritize the ensuring of the safety and health of students and faculty members, and the overall stability of the education system, by further strengthening prevention and control of the epidemic within the education system.

Xia Linmao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing CPC Committee and the Secretary of the Working Committee of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, accompanied Huai during the visit.
