The General Office of China's Ministry of Education (MoE) has recently released the list of national and provincial-level first-class undergraduate programs for 2021. Twelve programs of Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) are included in the list of national-level first-class undergraduate programs, and additionally nine programs have been selected as municipal-level first-class undergraduate programs.
Since the MoE implemented the "Double Ten-Thousand Plan" in 2019, which aims to boost first-class undergraduate education, BJUT has had 46 first-class undergraduate programs in total, including 32 national-level ones and 14 municipal-level ones, covering over 70% of all the programs in BJUT that admit undergraduates. This is a remarkable advance in the University's talent training development.
Focused on the construction of first-class undergraduate programs as its starting point, and adhering to its basic principles, BJUT will continue to shoulder its due responsibility and remains committed to its original aim of offering a student-centered approach. BJUT will further consolidate, develop and optimize the professional foundation of these programs, enriching their content and highlighting their improved features. In addition, BJUT will promote new engineering and arts disciplines incorporating new ideas and high standards, thus enhancing the overall quality of undergraduate education.
