The Chinese Academy of Social Science Evaluation Studies released the China Humanities and Social Sciences Journal AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report (2022), selecting the Journal of Beijing University of Technology (Social Science Edition) as a core journal. This is the second time the journal has been selected since 2018.

As three major journal evaluation systems of humanities and social sciences, the China Humanities and Social Sciences Journal AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report, the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) and Peking University's A Guide to the Core Journal of China have high status and significant influence in academic circles.

According to a 2022 report by China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), the Journal of Beijing University of Technology (Social Science Edition) has become an internationally-recoganized academic journal, with its impact factor rising in 2021; for example, the composite impact factor increased from 2.833 in 2019 to 4.667 in 2021.
