On July 4th, David FitzPatrick, President of Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), and his delegation visited Beijing University of Technology (BJUT). Nie Zuoren, President of BJUT, met with the delegation, accompanied by Vice President Qiao Junfei, and officials from the International Office, Beijing-Dublin International College and the Faculty of Information Technology.
Nie Zuoren warmly welcomed David FitzPatrick and his delegation, introducing them to the recent developments at BJUT and the Beijing-Dublin International College. He expressed gratitude for David FitzPatrick's contributions as the inaugural Dean of Academic Affairs of the Beijing-Dublin International College. He highlighted BJUT's active integration into China's and the capital city's development strategies and its commitment to internationalization. He emphasized the strong cooperation between BJUT and several Irish universities. He also noted the similarities in disciplines between BJUT and TU Dublin and the potential for collaboration in areas such as computer science, information technology and sustainable development. President Nie Zuoren expressed the desire to deepen multi-level exchanges and expand practical cooperation in the future.
During the visit, David FitzPatrick and his delegation went to BJUT's International Office, the Beijing-Dublin International College and the Yifu Library, for discussions and exchanges.
