On March 26, the BJUT-LONGi Green Energy Photovoltaic Research Institute was inaugurated. The ceremony was attended by Jiang Zeting, Secretary of CPC BJUT Committee, Vice President Chen Shujun, and Li Zhenguo, President of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd.

Jiang Zeting extended a warm welcome to the team from LONGi Green Energy and expressed his hope that the establishment of the research institute would serve as an opportunity for both parties to jointly originate new productive forces for the development of future industries. Jiang Zeting also spoke about the construction of the University's Shan-He-Wan-Gu Innovation Zone and invited entrepreneurs from LONGi Green Energy to participate in the Forum on Promoting University Technology Transfer of the ZGC International Technology Trade Fair under the 2024 Annual Conference of ZGC Forum, which is hosted by BJUT.

Li Zhenguo spoke about the development of LONGi Green Energy. He mentioned that over the years, LONGi has established five major business sectors, being: monocrystalline silicon wafers, solar modules, distributed photovoltaic solutions, ground-based photovoltaic solutions and hydrogen equipment, which has given birth to its "green electricity" and "green hydrogen" products and solutions which support global zero-carbon development. He hoped that the establishment of the research institute will contribute totalent cultivation and strategy implementation for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
