The 12th Beijing College Student Mechanical Innovation Design Competition Successfully Held at BJUT

The 12th Beijing College Student Mechanical Innovation Design Competition was successfully held at Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) from May 11 to 12. The opening ceremony was attended by Liu Zhaomiao, Vice President of BJUT; leaders of the judging panel; members of the judging committee, and representatives from participating universities.

The competition, themed "Mechanical Innovation to Promote Agricultural Modernization and Natural Harmony, Reaching New Heights in Bionics", focused on the "Design and Manufacture of Agricultural Machinery, Bionic Frogs, and Bionic Butterflies". It aimed to guide higher education institutions in enhancing students' innovative and comprehensive design abilities, fostering a collaborative spirit, and providing hands-on engineering practice. Since registration began in March 2024, the competition has received enthusiastic responses from college faculty and students across Beijing. A record 326 entries were submitted by 27 universities, including Beihang University, BJUT, University of Science and Technology Beijing, and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, marking the highest number of participating universities to date.

 

BJUT students excelled in this competition, winning four first prizes, with three entries recommended for the national competition. This success highlights the University's achievements in fostering innovation and practical skills among its students.
