On May 17, Wang Wei, Vice President of BJUT, met with Konstantin Egorov, President of Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University in Russia.
Wang Wei introduced BJUT's history, disciplines, and its activities in international cooperation. Against the backdrop of the 75th anniversary of China-Russia diplomatic ties and the China-Russia Years of Culture in 2024-2025, he emphasized the significance of the two universities signing a cooperation agreement and collaborating to implement the Joint Chinese Language Training Program for International Students. He expressed hope that both universities would continue to expand cooperation instudent cultivation, scientific research, and cultural exchange. He also welcomed more Russian students to study and participate in exchanges at BJUT.
Konstantin Egorov introduced the Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University and its strategic initiatives. He pointed out that several universities in the Perm Territory have actively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative, engaged in related cooperation, andtrained many students proficient in Chinese and passionate about Chinese culture. He expressed the hope of deepening collaboration with BJUT in the areas of student exchange and Chinese language teaching.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the University's library andthe College of International Education, discussed specific plans for cooperation, and had cordial exchanges with Russian students studying at BJUT.
