On May 21, Andre Postema, President of Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, in the Netherlands, led a delegation visiting BJUT. Qiao Junfei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC BJUT Committee, welcomed the delegation.
Qiao Junfei provided an overview of BJUT's history, disciplinary strengths, research activities, and international cooperation. He highlighted the strong ties between the two universities, which spans over 30 years, particularly in disciplines such as electronics and information science, computer science, civil engineering, architecture, environmental science, and materials science. He expressed his hope for continued and expanded collaboration in talent cultivation, scientific research, and other areas, and welcomed more Dutch scholars and students to BJUT for study and exchange.
Andre Postema gave an overview of Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, highlighting its focus in recent years on developing advanced fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, and recyclable materials. Additionally, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences has encouraged students' understanding of Chinese culture by establishing Confucius Institutes and offering Chinese language courses. He expressed his hope to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with BJUT in the future.
After the meeting, the delegation held discussions with the International Office, the College of International Education, and the Faculty of Information Technology on the renewal of agreements, student exchanges, and cooperation in related disciplines.
