On October 22, a 13-member delegation led by Prof. Stankomir Nicieja, Coordinator of Chinese language teaching at Poland's University of Opole, and Aldona Kania, Director of the Opole Voivodeship Education Committee, visited Beijing University of Technology (BJUT). Qiao Junfei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC BJUT Committee, received the delegation.
Qiao Junfei warmly welcomed Prof. Nicieja and his delegation and introduced BJUT's history, academic strengths, and international partnerships, highlighting the university's commitment to global development. He noted BJUT's fruitful and friendly cooperation with Poland through platforms such as the International University Alliance and the Confucius Institute. With 2024 marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Poland, this visit will further mutual understanding and trust. Qiao Junfei expressed his hope for more opportunities for collaboration in academic exchange, study programs in China, research partnerships, and student and faculty exchanges, fostering deeper China-Poland educational ties and cultural connections.
Prof. Nicieja expressed gratitude for BJUT's warm reception and highlighted its significant contributions to Chinese language education in Opole Voivodeship. He expressed hopes for further opportunities to deepen exchanges and jointly promote the development of education in China and Poland.
On behalf of the Superintendent of Opole Voivodeship Education Committee, Aldona Kania read a letter expressing appreciation for BJUT's invitation and commending the shared commitment of China and Poland to educational and cultural development. During the meeting, both sides reviewed the achievements of China-Poland cooperation and exchanges and agreed on these to be further strengthened.
After the meeting, the educators from Opole Voivodeship visited BJUT's library and Folk Art Museum at the School of Design and Arts, and the Shoucheng Campus of the High School Attached to Beijing University of Technology.
