BJUT Student Wins Top National Award at Qi Baishi University Culture and Art Festival for Traditional Chinese Painting

On October 26, the final results of the "Art and Essence" Fifth Qi Baishi University Culture and Art Festival for Traditional Chinese Painting were announced. Sun Yu, a graduate student in the Painting Department at BJUT's College of Art and Design, received an Excellence Award for the piece Moments, which will also be included in the Festival's collection. Moments draws inspiration from deep reflection on the blending of traditional culture and modern society. Combining contemporary societal diversity, the piece exhibits a distinctive, modern charm, highlighting Sun Yu's deep understanding of traditional art, his skillful infusion of modern elements, and his solid artistic foundation and innovative mindset.

The national Qi Baishi University Culture and Art Festival is a highly influential Chinese art event dedicated to inheriting and promoting Qi Baishi's artistic spirit.
