Personal Statement
Jian He is an associate professor at School of Software Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology, Beijing University of Technology. He is a key member at the Beijing Engineering Research Center for IoT Software and Systems. His research areas include intelligent human-computer interaction, pervasive computing, Internet of things. He got Ph. D with major in software theory and application from Xi'an Jiaotong University in April 2005. Being a visiting scholar from Jan. 2010 to Feb. 2011 at Georgia Technology, United States, he studied on the healthcare application of ubiquitous computing under Professor Gregory D. Abowd. Upon his return, his research mainly focuses on the technology of wearable healthcare and intelligent human-computer interaction. Such as, the elderly fall detection, EEG-based fatigue driving detection, etc. He has published more than 40 papers in journals and international conferences at home and abroad. The students supervised by him are widely employed in FaceBook, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Huawei, Baidu and other famous domestic and foreign IT companies.
