Personal Statement
Jingsha received his Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Xi’an Jiaotong University in China in July 1982 and his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park in U.S. in December 1984 and December 1990, respectively. Prof. He has been with the Faculty of Information Technology of Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) in Beijing, China since August 2003, starting therein as a distinguished professor of the Beijing municipality during the first three years. Prior to joining BJUT in August 2003, Prof. He had worked for several multi-national companies in the U.S., including IBM Corp. (as a senior computer scientist), MCI Communications Corp. (as a senior engineer) and Fujitsu Laboratories of America, Inc. (as a senior member of research staff), and published more than 10 papers and received 12 U.S. patents. Since joining BJUT in August 2003, Prof. He has published over 300 papers in scholarly journals and major international conferences, received 90 Chinese patents and 53 software copyrights and authored or co-authored 9 books in software engineering and information security. Prof. He has been the principal investigator of more than 40 research projects, including grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Natural Science Foundation, Ministry of Science and Technology and Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission. Prof. He’s research interests include information security, wireless networks, blockchain technology and digital forensics.
