Personal Statement

Fangyu Li received the B.S. degree from Beihang University, the M.E. degree from Tsinghua University, and the Ph.D. degree from The University of Oklahoma. Dr. Li has been a Professor and Ph.D. supervisor with the Beijing University of Technology since 2021. His research interests include complex signal processing, machine learning, deep learning, distributed computing, complex system modeling and monitoring, Internet of things (IoT), and cyber-physical systems (CPS). Prof. Li received awards and recognitions including NSFC National High-level Talent, SEG J. Clarence Karcher Award, IEEE Mark Weiser Best Paper Award, Kirin Science and Technology Award, International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva Medal. He serves premium conferences and journals as General Chair, TPC member, Associate Editor, Guest Editor, and Board Member. Dr. Li is the founding director of the CPS Computational Learning Laboratory at Beijing University of Technology (BJUT), holds the Professorship in Faculty of Information Technology. He has published more than 150 academic papers and gotten more than 20 authorized Chinese invention patents and software copyrights.
