Personal statement

Dr. Huating Chen received her Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering from University of Alberta(Canada) in 2005. After three years of practical experience in consulting firms as bridge engineer, she joined the Research Institute of Road and Bridge Engineering, Beijing University of Technology in 2008. Her research interests lie primarily in the field of analysis-design-evaluation-rehabilitation of steel bridge as well as steel-concrete composite bridge, concentrating on fatigue and fracture performance.
