Personal Statement

Dr. Huating Chen received her Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada. After three years of practical experience in consulting firms as a bridge engineer, she joined the Beijing University of Technology in 2008 and became an associate professor. Her research interests lie primarily in the analysis-design-evaluation-rehabilitation of steel and steel-concrete composite bridges, concentrating on fatigue and fracture performance.
