Personal Statement

Ji Jinbao, professor and doctoral supervisor, Expert in structural experiment, structural control and structural monitoring. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Beijing University of Technology in 2005 and as a visiting scholar visited the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign from August 2017 to July 2018. He has presided three Chinese National Science and Technology Programs and more than 50 R&D projects. He had developed a variety of damping devices, such as inverter type MR damper, fluid-bag isolator and suspended TMD damper and others. He had proposed multi-parameters control algorithm for shaking table array, substructure test method based on AMD device and developed many structural test control software. He has published more than 100 papers, obtained more than 30 invention patents and a number of software copyrights. He has won The Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award and one Grand Prize of China Railway Construction Corporation for Science and Technology Progress Award.
