Personal Statement

Dr. Jianqiang WANG is a registered planner in China and a visiting scholar at Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. He is currently an professor and doctoral supervisor at Urban & Rural Planning Department of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil and Transportation Engineering of Beijing University of Technology (BJUT). He is the Director of Sustainable Urban Planning and Design in the Discipline of Urban and Rural Planning of BJUT. Till now, He presided over 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, participated in nearly 10 national and provincial level projects, published a monograph titled "Institutional Construction of China's Regulatory Detailed Planning", edited the "Compilation Standards for Urban Regulatory Detailed Planning of Anhui Province", published over 40 professional academic papers, and won 3 national and provincial-level Excellent Paper Awards. Besides, he has presided over nearly a hundred planning and design projects, including "general plan, regulatory detailed planning, urban design, and special plan", and has won multiple China national and provincial excellent planning and design awards.
