Personal Statement

At present, my research interests focus mainly on the numerical manifold method (NMM). NMM is very a powerful Cauchy continuum based tool, and any of those Galerkin based contemporary numerical methods can be regarded as a special example of NMM.NMM has successfully been applied to rock mechanics and some open issues in computational mechanics, yet it has an extensive scope of applications to soil mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, and so on.

Welcome doctors with backgrounds of applied or computational mathematics, computational mechanics, and civil engineering to join my research group.
