Personal statement
Dr. Lyu Yan is currently an associate professor in College of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Electronics Technology, Beijing University of Technology. He received his B.S.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from Beihang University, China in June 2008, and received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Beijing University of Technology, China in June 2014.
In the past 5 years, he has participated in National Natural Science Foundation of China (PI of 1 youth fund project, 1 general project, major researcher of 1 national major scientific research instrument development project, 1 basic scientific instrument research project). He is mainly engaged in the research of new ultrasonic nondestructive testing technology, ultrasonic nondestructive characterization method of mechanical properties, development of advanced sensors and nondestructive testing equipment, and has published 26 academic papers, including Composite Structures, NDT&E International, Sensors, Ultrasonics and JONE.
