Personal statement

Doctor Shi Zhaoyao is a Ph.D. supervisor, and has the title of State Council Special Allowance Expert. He has hosted approximate 40 projects in national and provincial level. He devotes himself to the research of gear engineering and precision testing technology for several decades, and has made a number of innovative achievements from the aspects of gear precision theory, testing technology and instruments, precision gear transmission, precision mechanical design, which are widely used in major equipment. His research on gear testing technology covers the whole field of gear engineering, and his achievements have been recognized all over the world. The research results of precision and micro gear have been applied in the field of high-speed railway and micro gear transmission, and great economic and social benefits have been achieved. He has participated in setting a series of international, national and industrial important technical standards, especially in the international standards of gear accuracy, and strives for our country to have more discourse power in the international field of gear. Up to now, he has obtained 42 Chinese patents and published more than 150 papers and one monograph, and won the first prize of China Mechanical Industry Science and Technology Progress Award twice and the second prize of State Science and Technology Awards twice.
