Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Economics and Management, Beijing University of Technology (BJUT). Recognized as one of Elsevier’s Global Top 2% Scientists (2023, 2024). Selected for the Beijing Municipal Party Committee Organization Department and Beijing Youth League Committee’s National Governance Youth Talent Training Program.

Educational and Professional Experience: From August 2012 to August 2014, I was a visiting scholar at the Department of Environmental and Ecological Engineering, Purdue University, under the mentorship of Professor John W. Sutherland, a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. In 2015, I earned a Ph.D. from Beijing Jiaotong University. From July 2015 to May 2017, I served as a Lecturer in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at BJUT and was promoted to Associate Professor in June 2017. Subsequently, from September 2017 to August 2019, I conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Physics at Boston University, under the supervision of Professor H. Eugene Stanley, a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, and also pursued visiting research at Harvard University. In July 2021, I was promoted to Professor in the same department at BJUT. From December 2021 to January 2023, I held a concurrent position at the Economic Development Bureau of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area Management Committee. From August 2023 to August 2024, I was a visiting scholar at Tsinghua University, under the guidance of Senior Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Guoqing Chen.

Research Areas: Business Big Data, Complex Systems Science, Resource and Environmental Economics and Policy Analysis, and Logistics and Supply Chain Risk Management.

Courses Taught: Management Information Systems, Knowledge Graphs, Managerial Statistics, Innovative Thinking and Systems Thinking, Strategic Management of Critical Resources Amid Centennial Changes, and Frontiers of Financial Technology.

Academic Appointments: I serve as Associate Editor of the international journals Sustainable Futures, International Journal of Logistics Research and Applications, and International Journal of Supply Chain and Operations Resilience, and is a Guest Editor for Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews. I am also a Director of the Special Committee on Future Analysis and Management of Emerging Technologies, a Member of the Special Committee on Resource Flow and Management Research of the China Society for Natural Resources (from November 2023), a Member of the Jinan Science and Technology Association’s Technology Innovation Expert Service Team (2023.07–2026.07), an Advisory Expert in the supply chain field for the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, a member of the Beijing Municipal Commission of City Management Expert Pool, and a Policy Advisory Expert for the “Contribute an Idea for Reform” initiative for young members of Beijing’s Party and governmental organizations.

Teaching Achievements: I won the First Prize and the Outstanding Instructor Award at the 2024 “Charoen Pokphand Cup” 14th National College Student Market Investigation and Analysis Competition Final, and was nominated as an Outstanding Class Advisor for Graduating Students under the “Character Building and Talent Development” program in 2024. I received Second Prize at the 2023 Third Teaching Innovation Competition at BJUT. From 2020 to 2024, I served as the Advisor for Excellent Master’s Degree Theses at BJUT. I am recognized as Best Advisor in the 11th and 12th Electronic Commerce Innovation Competitions, as an Excellent Class Advisor in 2021 under BJUT’s “Character Building and Talent Development” program, and was named the “Most Favorite Teacher” by students in the 2018 “With You Along the Way—My Beloved Mentor” awards, among various other university-level honors.

Research Projects: I have led multiple research projects, including a General Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (2021–2024), a Youth Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (2017–2019), a Key Project by the Beijing Higher Education Society (2024–2026), a Youth Base Project under the Beijing Social Science Fund (2016–2019), a General Project of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (2015–2017), and a Postdoctoral Fund Project of Beijing Municipality (2016–2017). I have also participated in multiple national and provincial-level projects, and headed numerous government- and enterprise-commissioned projects.

Academic Papers: I have published over 100 papers as first or corresponding author in leading domestic and international journals such as PNAS, Omega, Applied Energy, Resources Conservation and Recycling, Ecological Economics, Transportation Research Part A/D, Systems Engineering Theory and Practice, Economic Daily, Economic Information Daily, and China Economic Times. More than 70 of these papers have been indexed by SCI/SSCI, with 7 recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers. My research has been cited by journals and reports including Science, Nature, Nature Communications, One Earth, and the U.S. House of Representatives Science Committee.
