Personal Statement
I have been taught in university and engaged in professional experience includes both landscape and architectural projects at various scales since 2006. China has been undergoing rapid urbanization for the past 30 years, I have participated in more than 30 design projects over the past 10 years and I has won more than two dozen design awards and published several papers and books. During this time, I thought deeply about some urbanization issues and tackled them in my practical and research works.
My main research interest is to places work within a more contemporary and trans-disciplinary framework, through combining urban design, architectural design, landscape design and public art, to tackle the contemporary city urbanization issues in multidiscipline. During my study I try to figure out the process of Re-urbanization, from the perspective of sociology and spatial morphology, to analysis cultural, social, capital and other factors how to interact with each other and make influence on urban landscape and architecture development.
