Personal statement

Chu Hongyan, doctor, professor and doctoral supervisor. She graduated from Beijing University of Technology in 2003 with a doctorate in mechanical design and theory. Since1997, she has been teaching at Beijing University of Technology. From 2005 to 2006, she was a visiting scholar at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her main research is the study of dynamic characteristics of NC machine and roller system structure, intelligent manufacturing, process simulation and optimization research of hot machining process. She has undertaken 1 project of Major National Science and Technology Projects, 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of the Natural Science Foundation of Beijing, and 2 projects of the Science and Technology Plan of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. As the main participant, she participated in 1 project of Science and Technology Plan of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, 2 projects of the 11th and 12th Five-Year Science and Technology Support Program. She has published more than 60 papers, including more than 30 papers indexed by SCI/EI/ISTP and more than 20 patents and software copyrights.
