Measurement and Analysis of Engineering Vibration

Research Areas:

(1) Research on Mechanical Properties of Joint Surface

Explored the mechanical characteristics and modeling methods of the joint surface between machine tools and other components of combined structure. The problem of arch curve design for over-span cross beam of heavy gantry machine tool is solved. the research and application of key technologies for large-scale joint of heavy-duty gantry CNC machine tools won the second prize of Beijing Science and Technology. Nearly 10 graduate students have been sent to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

(2) Measurement and Analysis of Engineering Vibration

Aimed at the vibration problems of machine tools and optical instruments during operation, the vibration causes are studied and the vibration reduction scheme is put forward. The problems of cutting vibration of nano machine tools in Beijing Machine Tool Research Institute, impact of large gantry machine tools in Beijing No. 1 Machine Tool Works and vibration reduction of instruments on arrows in a space Academy were solved. Nearly 10 graduate students have been sent to aeronautical and space company, the National Energy Group and so on.

Personal Statement

Dr Guo is Associate Professor and Master Student Supervisor. He visited the School of Mechanical Engineering in University of Washington in USA from October 2012 to October 2013. He has been engaging in the study of mechanical properties of the joint surface, exploring the mechanical characteristics and modeling methods of the joint surface between machine tools and other components of combined structure. Engaging in engineering vibration testing and analysis, Aiming at the vibration problems of machine tools and optical instruments during operation, the vibration causes are studied and the vibration reduction scheme is put forward. The problem of arch curve design for over-span cross beam of heavy gantry machine tool, the impact problem of large gantry machine tool in Beijing No. 1 Machine Tool Plant and the vibration reduction problem of the instrument on the rocket of a space academy are solved. Among them, the research and application of key technologies for large-scale joint of heavy-duty gantry CNC machine tools won the second prize of Beijing Science and Technology. More than 30 EI research papers, 5 SCI papers and 6 authorized invention patents have been published. Nearly 20 graduate students have been sent to the First, Second, Third, Fifth, Chinese Academy of Sciences and National Energy Group.
