Personal Statement

Li Qi was first trained as a process engineer at China University of Petroleum (East China) and China University of Petroleum (Beijing), and then as a chemical engineer at University College London (UCL). Following the completion of her Ph.D. life in 2017, Dr. Li took a postdoctoral position at the University of Birmingham until she was appointed as an associated professor in the Faculty of Environmental and Life at Beijing of Technology in September 2020. Her research interests primarily focus on multiphase flow from microfluidic scale to industrial size, thermal energy (heat and cold) storage including phase change materials and mirominiaturization, carbon capture and storage, and sustainable energy, etc. Dr. Li has published more than 30 papers in international major journals and 1 academic chapter (in books) with more than 200 citations.
