Personal Statement:

Hongli SUO:Ph. D. and professor at the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering, Beijing University of Technology. She has been working in the University of Geneva, Switzerland as a post-doctor and MA (Master Assistant Professor) for over 6 years. Her research covered large fields of materials science and metallurgy, from metals to superconducting ceramics, from physics to crystallography, and also in other fields, especially the mechanical deformation of metal composites, texture as well as surface study. She published more than 200 scientific papers (nearly 140 are listed by mainstream ISI Web of Science) and presented a lot of guest speeches at international conferences. She won the Second-class Prize of the Scientific Progress of Beijing City. Her Ph.D. thesis was selected as one of yearly 100 National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of P.R. China. At the conference of ICMC 2001 in Madison, USA, she won the Best Paper Award for Superconducting Material.
