Personal Statement

Dr. Yang Wu, Associate Professor and Master Supervisor, worked in the College of Materials Science and Engineering, Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) from July, 2022. He received his Bachelor’s (2015) and Master’s degrees (2018) from Northwestern Polytechnical University, and Ph.D. degree (2022) in Beihang University.

He focuses on high-temperature protection coating, including the design of novel ceramic materials for thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) and environmental barrier coatings (EBCs), preparation of functional coatings, and CMAS corrosion and protection.

He has presided National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and Beijing Postdoctoral Research Foundation. He has published more than 20 papers in international top journals, e.g., Corrosion Science, Surface and Coatings Technology, and Ceramics International, etc.
