Research Areas

Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) has been a powerful tool to explore the microstructures of a wide range of energy material systems, such as photochatalysts, electrochatalysts, aiming to build the relation between microstructures and properties of energy materials, and further to unveil the potential catalytic mechanism for guiding the design of new kinds of energy materials. Here we mainly focus on in-situ TEM to study the real-time dynamic process under external stimulation to reveal key issues related to material science, chemistry, physics, life science etc. In addition, the design of photocatalysts and electrochatalysts is also studied combing with in-situ TEM and DFT calculations.
