Personal Statement

Gao Chundi is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Beijing University of Technology. She serves as the lead instructor for core undergraduate courses in environmental engineering and specialized graduate courses. She is also the main lecturer for national-level quality courses and national quality resource-sharing courses, as well as a key teacher in a nationally recognized outstanding teaching team. In terms of scientific research, she has conducted in-depth studies on sludge bulking from both basic the oretical and applied technical perspectives. Her research findings have provided control strategies for sludge bulking during the biological nitrogen removal process at several domestic sewage treatment plants, including the Qinghe Sewage Treatment Plant in Beijing, successfully resolving real-world problems. She has published over 50 papers belonging to SCI or EI and has been granted more than 20 patents.
