Personal statement

Professor Liu, Youming, male, was born in 1963 in Baode, Shanxi. He received his Ph. D from Dept. of Mathematics, University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee (May, 1993). After finishing the Post Doctor research in Zhejiang University, Liu joined Beijing University of Technology in July 1995. He visited National University of Singapore and Georgia Institute of Technology for one year respectively. Liu has been working on wavelets and some related topics. He has published some papers in important Journals:《Applied and Computational Harmonic Analysis》,《Mathematics of Computation》,《IEEE Trans. Infor. Theory》,《SIAM J. Math Analysis》and《SCIENCE CHINA Mathematics》etc.
