Research Directions

1. Drinking water quality safety assurance theory and technology, including conventional process optimization, advanced oxidation, ultrafiltration as the core of the advanced treatment technology and combination process, water plant intelligent control system development.

2. Wastewater and sludge resource utilization technology from drinking water plant, including sludge discharge water, filter backwashing water, membrane filtration concentrated water and backwashing wastewater safe reuse, sludge harmless disposal and resource utilization.

3. Advanced treatment technology and principle of sewage (waste) water, development and application of new integrated water treatment equipment, modification, regeneration and recycling of powdered activated carbon and granular activated carbon.

4. Technology and principle of pollution removal and recycling of carbon-based materials, including the development and application of titanium dioxide, graphite phase carbon nitride and magnetic separation and recovery of spinel carbon-based composite functional materials.


Professional Background

Professor, PhD/master supervisor, Beijing University of Technology high-level talents. He focuses on water quality safety assurance technology and deep purification technology and principle in water treatment, research and development of carbon-based materials, pollution removal and recycling, intelligent drug administration and intelligent management and control of water plants. Presided over or participated in 20 national/provincial and ministerial projects, of which presided over 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects of China, 2 national key research and development plan sub-projects, has published more than 100 academic papers. As the first author or corresponding author, published more than 50 top SCI papers in the first region in Water Research, Journal of Membrane Science and other journals, applied for more than 20 national invention patents, participated in the compilation of 2 monographs, and participated in the compilation of 2 group standards. won the first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, the First Prize of Huaxia Construction Science and Technology Award, the Science Progress Award of Hubei Province, and the National Outstanding postdoctoral Fellow awards.
