Personal Statement

As a professor in a Beijing key laboratory named as Multimedia and intelligent software technology, my research interesting has been stretched along with the developing of our lab. Deriving from Computer graphics, from which a visualization related issue was chosen for my Ph.D. degree, my research scopes spread including fields of virtual reality, geometric image processing, computational photography, signal language synthesis and recognition, perceptual computing, human activity recognition, model reconstruction, and newly robotics. Some associated courses have been given to undergraduates and graduate students in these years. Also I have been hosting or participating in several research projects funded by national NSFC and BJNSF, which have been playing important roles during both my teaching and cultivating for the graduate students. I hope to see an increasing number of young researchers with great enthusiasm and curiosity in information science come to the fore by through our teachers’ dedication.
