She is a Young Beijing Scholar, the vice dean of the School of Information Science and Technology, PhD Supervisor, the Deputy Director of Engineering Research Center of Intelligence Perception and Autonomous Control, Ministry of Education, the leader of National Key R&D Program, and the team leader of National First-class Undergraduate Courses "Intelligent Interaction Technology". She serves as the Deputy Secretary General of China Artificial Intelligence Society and the Secretary-General of its Education Working Committee. She is a CCF Distinguished Membership, the head of the Beijing Intelligent Manufacturing and Robotics Innovation Project, Youth Beijing Scholar, leading talent of the "Phoenix Plan" in Chaoyang District of Beijing. Her research interests lie in interactive cognition, embodied AI, autonomous driving and intelligent robot. She also serves as an editorial board member for domestic and international academic journals and as a reviewer for international conferences and journals, such as CVPR, etc. She has visited and studied in some countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia as a visiting scholar. In recent years, she has been invited to serve as an expert in evaluating many national, provincial and ministerial projects.

She won the first prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of China Society of Image and Graphics in 2022 and the second prize of Science and Technology Award [technological invention] of Chinese Institute of Electronics in 2020. She has presided over several national and provincial-level projects, including the National Key R&D Program of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Intelligent Manufacturing and Robot Technology Innovation Projects, and Beijing Natural Science Foundation. In recent year, she has presided over 10 enterprise projects such as BAIC Group, Dongfeng Motor corporation and Yunji Technology, including "Intelligent Vehicle and Road Network Visualization Simulation Interaction System" and "Design and Development of Intelligent Robot Interaction System". She is the head of the intelligent interaction team of the joint project group of unmanned vehicles under the guidance of Academician Li Deyi, she led the team to win championships in international and domestic intelligent driving competitions. Her team's achievement "Unmanned Driving Cloud Intelligent Interaction System" won the special prize in the finals of the 2nd China "AI+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (with over 2000 teams participating). She has published more than 80 papers in domestic and international academic journals and conferences, including IEEE TIP, TNNLS, TMM, ICRA, and Science China Information Sciences. She is the chief editor of the textbook "Intelligent Interaction Technology and Application," which has been recognized as a high-quality undergraduate textbook in Beijing. She has also won the second prize of the 6th National Education Science Research Outstanding Achievement Award and the first prize of Beijing Teaching Achievement Award. She has offered the course "Intelligent Interaction Technology" on China University MOOC for 11 rounds.

In terms of talent cultivation, she is the team leader of National First-class Undergraduate Courses MOOC, and has taught China University MOOC open online courses "intelligent interactive technology" 9 times which more than 10,000 people selected the course. She participated in teaching the course "Introduction to Autonomous Driving Technology" at Xuetang Online. She published the textbook "Intelligent Interaction Technology and Applications" which is rated as "High-quality Undergraduate Textbook Courseware" in Beijing universities. She has won the second prize of the sixth National Education Science Research Outstanding Achievement Award and the first prize of the Beijing Teaching Achievement Award. She presided over the undergraduate teaching reform and innovation project of Beijing higher education "Research on the cultivation of applied innovative talents in the field of robots in the intelligent era". She instructed students to win first prize and other awards in national, provincial and ministerial subject competitions such as China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition, National College Students Intelligent Car Competition, etc. As the first author/corresponding author, she published a series of 6 papers in Higher Engineering Education Research, including over 3400 official WeChat read and over 5600 CNKI downloaded of the paper "Emerging Engineering Education in the Age of Intelligence", and CNKI downloaded more than 5600 times; "The Education in the Era of Intelligence" was reprinted in full by Xinhua Digest; "The Intelligent Era and the Cultivation of Innovative Talents in Universities" has been downloaded over 1100 times on CNKI.
