Personal Statement:

WeiYaping, born in 1976, is anassociate professor at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of BJUT. Wei obtained her Master’s Degree and graduated from the Department of Sociology of Peking University in 2003, and her Ph.D. Degree from the Department of Sociology ofRenmin University of China in 2011. She has been hosting research projects such as:

1. "Research on Beijing's Residential Quarters" (2012 Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Fund)

2. "Social Capital and Community Construction" (2012 Beijing University of Technology Humanities and Social Sciences Fund)

3. "BeijingChaoyang District Community Management Experience and Case Analysis" (2012Chaoyang District Social Work Commission commissioned project)

4. "Construction of Water-Saving Community" (Project entrusted by China Environmental Protection Foundation in 2010)
