On December 31, 2019, according to the notice given by the China Scholarship Council, the “Intelligent Manufacturing International Cooperative Training Project for Innovative Talents” applied by the College of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Electronics Technology, BJUT was approved to be the 2020 International Cooperative Training Project for Innovative Talents. The International Cooperative Training Project for Innovative Talents is the key cooperative project of the China Scholarship Council, which is to better serve the national strategies, overall educational reform and “Double First Class” construction, as well astocultivate more innovative,urgently-needed,versatile and internationalized talents.The project willfocuson providing financial assistance to high-leveluniversities at home and abroad to help them build interdisciplinary talent exchanges and cooperative training. The disciplines getting financial aid are required to have excellent cooperativebasis, well-designed training plans and specific assessment indicators.
With the help of this project,the College of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Electronics Technology will send more than ten doctoral students and several young teachers for cooperative trainingin University of Kentuckyin the next three years. On the basis of the partnership between both sides in the field of intelligent welding and China’s“Going-out Strategy”, the project combines academic frontier to build a new mode for cultivating high-level talents in the fields of intelligent welding.
The approval of this project provides a new channel for BJUT’s graduate students and young teachers to study and visit outside China funded by the government, vigorously boosting the graduate education and the internationalization of young teachers. BJUT will continue to promote the application and implementationof theInternational Cooperative Training Project for Innovative talents,enhance propaganda,organizecolleges to make sound preparation, and adopt multiple modes to realize coordinated development,to furtherimprove the scale and quality of international exchanges and cooperative training forgraduate students and young teachers.
