· BJUT Students Delivered Excellence in iCAN Contest Beijing Qualification Trials

On October 23, the Beijing qualification trials for the 16th iCAN Innovation Contest were successfully held. Students of Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) delivered excellence by scooping 2 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 14 third prizes.

Nearly 200 projects from Peking University, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, University of Science and Technology Beijing, BJUT and other universities were submitted to the competition. Among them, 26 project teams with nearly 130 students were from BJUT. The projects covered many fields, such as smart home life, smart agriculture, smart medical treatment, smart clothing, and smart communities. Two projects will represent BJUT in the China Finals.

The iCAN Innovation Contest started in 2007. Aiming at "serving society and improving human life", it guides and encourages students to be innovative and enterprising. By encouraging students to participate in extracurricular contests such as this, BJUT demonstrates the importance it attaches to cultivating the potential of outstanding young innovative and entrepreneurial talents, enabling them to realize their ability to produce remarkable achievements.
