On March 31st, the 21st Chinese College and University Students' Swimming Championships ended in Xiamen, with BJUT Students taking home one gold medal, four silver medals, and one bronze medal.
In this year's competition, 627 swimmers from 61 colleges and universities nationwide vigorously competed for medals in 22 major disciplines and 80 minor events. Nine members of the BJUT swimming team participated in 21 events.
On the first day of the competition, the BJUT Swimming Team won its first medal in the women's 100m butterfly event, with Jingshang Beihua winning silver. The following day, she also won bronze in the women's 200m butterfly. On the third day, Zhao Heting won two silvers in the men's 1500m freestyle event, and Yang Zhicheng won two silvers in the men's 200m individual medley event. On the last day, Yang Zhicheng overtook a strong opponent in the men's 400m individual medley, winning his first national championship, bringing home another gold medal for the University's swimming team.
