About the School of Foreign Language
The School of Foreign Languages of BJUT is composed of four teaching and research departments: the Undergraduate English Teaching Department, the Graduate Public English Teaching Department, the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, the Department of International Chinese Teaching. The School of Foreign Languages has one undergraduate specialty: English. This has been selected as a municipal first-class undergraduate specialty program. The School also has a Master's degree program in foreign language and literature.
The School has 121 faculty members and 238 students, consisting of 161 undergraduates, 34 graduates, and 43 non-academic international students.
Job Description
Work Type: full-time
Department/Unit: School of Foreign Languages, Undergraduate English Teaching Department
Position: English Teaching staff
Duties:
1. No less than 16 teaching periods per week for undergraduates' College English classes or for undergraduate English majors' Oral English;
2. To revise and polish papers from faculty members or students, and some other English documents;
3. To participate in the construction of the English website and the polishing of pamphlets;
4. To do some other work such as joint research work with Chinese teachers;
5. To engage in additional activities to foster cultural understanding on campus.
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree or above;
2. Majors in English linguistics and applied linguistics, language pedagogy, English literature, Higher Education etc.;
3. Over 3 years' English teaching experience in China preferred;
4. Native speakers with a language teaching qualification preferred.

Department/Unit: School of Foreign Languages, Department of International Chinese Teaching
Position: Academic Administration and Management for International students
Duties:
I. Academic Administration for Non-Degree International Students
Primarily responsible for the academic administration of non-degree international students, with specific duties as follows:
(1) Communicate with relevant departments to collect and collate academic information, utilize relevant academic management systems to input and process data, and complete daily academic administration tasks.
(2) Assist students in communicating with various departments responsible for teaching, management, and other related functions, and inform and convey teaching arrangements, management regulations, and other information to students.
(3) Undertake the organization, preparation, translation, distribution, and dispatch of materials related to student development and academic administration.
II. Management of Learning and Practical Activities for Non-Degree International Students
Primarily responsible for managing the learning and practical activities of non-degree international students, with specific duties as follows:
(1) Assist the person in charge of practical activities in organizing related events, including planning, staffing, and liaising with all of the parties involved.
(2) Handle matters related to material procurement, inventory management, and financial reimbursement.
(3) Implement cultural activities within the school for students and serve as a team leader for off-campus practical activities.
(4) Assist in completing various reception tasks during orientation, graduation ceremonies, summer/winter camps, and other short-term programs.
III. Management of Non-Degree International Students
(1) Oversee the daily management of student affairs and promptly handle unexpected incidents.

IV. Other Responsibilities
(1) Complete any additional tasks related to non-degree international students as assigned by the School.
(2) Adhere to the administrative staff's office hours system and report to work according to the "Attendance Management Regulations for Faculty and Staff of Beijing University of Technology."
Qualifications:
1. Minimum educational requirement: Master's degree
2. Work experience requirement: Candidates with 2 years or more experience in international student management and volunteer work are preferred.
3. Domestic experience requirement: Priority given to those with more than 6 years of domestic study or work experience.
4. Language requirement: Candidates with HSK Level 5 or above are preferred.
Terms of Appointment
Appointment to the above positions will be on a one-year fixed term basis, renewable by mutual agreement based on the teaching or working evaluation.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
