On December 13, 6 members of University College Cork visited BJUT, including President Michael Murphy, PresidentDesignate Patrick O’Shea, Director of China Affairs Emma Connolly, and other 3 representatives of China Affairs Office. President Liu Gonghui and Vice President Wu Bin met the delegation. Related personnel in International Office, Academic Affairs Office, Faculty of Information Technology and College of Applied Sciences attended.

President Liu Gonghui extended his warm welcome toward the visiting delegation，reflecting on the history of co-operation between BJUT and University College Cork, thanking Michael Murphy for his efforts to smooth the co-operation between two universities. Moreover, he hoped to deepen the co-operation in computer technology and electronic information engineering.

Michael Murphy expressed his appreciation to BJUT, giving an introduction of University College Cork and its disciplines, and the prospects for further co-operation.

After the meeting, President Michael Murphy and his delegation held a discussion with 8 students of BJUT who take part in the exchange program of University College Cork, answering many questions about life & study in Ireland and helping them adapt to new life in University College Cork in advance.
