Delegation of Southeast Finland University of Applied Science and Technology Visits BJUT

On April 12th, Chancellor Heikki Saastamoinen of Southeast Finland University of Applied Science and Technology, Dean of Engineering Institute Matti Koivisto and Dean of Social Welfare Institute Katri Ryttyläinen-Korhonen visited BJUT. Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and President Liu Gonghui of BJUT met with the delegation. Vice-President Wu Bin and related personnel of the International Office , the Information Department and College of Humanities attended.

President Liu Gonghui welcomed the delegation and reviewed the co-operation between BJUT and Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences, the predecessor of Southeast Finland University of Applied Science and Technology, touching on the concept of school administration, strong discipline, scientific research and the cultivation of talent. Chancellor Heikki Saastamoinen spoke of recent progress of Southeast Finland University of Applied Science and Technology, highlighting the cherished friendship between the two countries, and the incorporation into the school’s development strategy of partnership with Chinese universities. Finally, the two sides made a clear statement of future cooperation, continuation of exchanges and cooperation in information technology, energy, environment protection and expanding cooperation in humanities and social science.
Southeast Finland University of Applied Science and Technology is one of the first universities to establish cooperation and carry out students exchange with BJUT. More than 100 students of BJUT attended the 3+1 double degrees program conducted by the two universities.
