Objective:

When comprehensively advancing the rule of law in China, we provide students with a strong foundation of fundamental theories of law concerning fields such as property rights, finance, and social governance. We aim to develop future practical and inter-disciplinary legal talents that are skilled at legal practice; in compliance with legal professional ethics; rich in knowledge; endowed with wide visions; socially flexible; remarkable in work.

Curriculum:

Core Courses: Jurisprudence, Legal History of China, Constitution, Administrative Law and Administrative Procedure Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Civil Law, Intellectual Property Law, Commercial Law, Economic Law, Civil Procedure Law, Environmental Law and Resources Protection Law, Labor Law and Social Security, International Law, Private International Law, International Economic Law, Science and Technology Law, Company Law, Securities Law, Contract Law, Tax Law, Insurance Law, Marriage and Succession Laws, lawyers, Rules of Evidence, Legal Logic, and Legal Writing. To enrich students' knowledge and develop their professionalism, we have established three teaching modules: intellectual property law, economic law, and social law. Also, we offer optional courses such as Sociology, Economics, Finance, Management, Intellectual Property Management, Accounting, Community Corrections, and Criminology. To improve students' professionalism in operation and social adaptation, we have 1100 credit hours of practical courses in place such as moot courts, case analysis, seminars, mid-term internships, graduate internships, trial observation, and research visits.

Career:

Students can engage in legal work at all level administrative agencies, judicial agencies, law firms, banks, securities companies, insurance companies, intellectual property agents, social enterprises, and legal departments; or they may choose to pursue further studies, going after a master’s degree of law of other subjects. In recent years, about a quarter of graduates chose to pursue further studies in Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Taiwan University, and other renowned universities at home and abroad. The pass rate for the judicial examination and the civil service examination reaches 45%, which promises a higher employment rate and better employment as well as a broad prospect for development.
